About our Refer a Friend program
Q: What is your Refer a Friend program?
A: Our current residential electricity supply customers can qualify to earn a $50 Visa® Prepaid Card when they refer friends or family members who use the current customer’s referral code at sign-up, begin residential electricity or natural gas supply service with us or our parent company, Constellation, and remain our residential energy customer for 90 days following enrollment in one of our service areas. The friend or family member referred can also earn a $50 Visa(R) Prepaid Card as thanks for signing up for energy service with us.
To qualify to receive the referral reward, current customers that have an account with us must be current on all payments owed to us (a "Referrer"). New customers who have been referred to StarTex Power or our parent company, Constellation, must (i) use their friend or family member’s Referral Code during sign up, (ii) successfully enroll for energy service with Constellation, or if in Texas must enroll in a minimum 12-month fixed rate electricity service agreement with StarTex Power, and (iii) continue to receive residential electricity or natural gas supply from us for 90 days following enrollment. StarTex Power or Constellation will reward Referrers through issuance of a $50 Visa(R) Prepaid Card for each Qualified Referral, up to $575 per calendar year. Please allow 2-4 weeks following completion of the referral’s initial 90-day period for processing and delivery of the $50 Visa® Prepaid Card.
Q: Is your Refer a Friend program easy to use?
A: Yes! Tell your friends. Share your link. Earn rewards. To get started, simply give your referral code to your friends and family and tell them what a great experience you’re having with us. You can find the referral code and easy-to-use referral link on your original Welcome email; or by signing in to myAccount. You will need to register for myAccount access the first time you visit www.StarTexPower.com/myAccount. Q: Are my friends going to get emails from StarTex Power or Constellation? Are my friends’ emails safe?
A: Your friends will receive the referral request email, sent on your behalf, through our secure web page and email system. StarTex Power, and its parent company Constellation, will not sell your friends’ email addresses.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
Q: How do my friends qualify to receive Refer a Friend rewards?
A: In Texas: Your friend or family member must successfully enroll in a fixed-rate contract with a term of at least 12 months for a residence located within the areas we serve in order to qualify as a referral under the Refer a Friend program. You will not earn rewards for referred customers who sign up under our month-to-month plans or for a fixed-price term of less than 12 months See where we serve customers.

Q: Can I get a referral credit if I previously enrolled and referred my family members and friends, but they forgot to enter my referral code?
A: You and your friend (referral) have 7 days to provide your referral code in order to receive credit. Please contact our customer care team by phone at 1-866-917-8271 or email service@StarTexPower.com.

Q: How do I get my referral code or customized URL?
A: You can find the referral code and easy-to-use referral link on your original Welcome email; or by signing in to myAccount. You will need to register for access the first time you visit myAccount. About your reward
Q: When will I receive my Visa® Prepaid Card? My friend signed up with my referral code.
A: Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing and delivery of your Visa® Prepaid Card, once the referred friend has been our customer for 90 days. You will receive a new $50 Visa® Prepaid Card for every family member or friend that successfully enrolls with us. To check the status of your card or to report lost or stolen cards, please call 1-800-522-7458 or email email@example.com.
