I wanted to drop a line to give a much appreciated "THANK YOU" to the StarTex Power agent and the VP of Service at your customer center. I have had some health problems as of recent for the last few months. Times have been tough and my wife and I had been a little slow on paying bills. I received a call from Star Tex saying we were getting a disconnect and we needed to pay ASAP. I called back and explained my situation and I needed an extra 3 -4 days until my payroll check arrived in the mail. The StarTex Power agent stepped in to action and treated me like a friend or as my wife said, "Family member". He got with his manager and was able to help us through a hard time. His attitude was a real plus in this time of need for us. We had been customers of another electric provider for ever before we became customers of yours. The other electric provider never had this kind of customer service. I'm sure the StarTex Power agent his boss hear all kinds of stories every day, some true and some that are just plain lies. Whether the StarTex Power agent believed me or not, he went in to action to help me. We need more people like him in customer service. I think Star Tex has found a valuable employee. I suggest giving the agent who helped me his own class for training and giving him a chance at the management level. I have been around customer service for many many years and he truly is a diamond in a mountain full of fake gems.
Take good care of him and I’m sure his value will be returned many times over. Everyone will now know who the best Power Company in Texas is!

He is very knowledgeable as well. I then decided to sign-up online....to take advantage of your special offer. I ran into a problem online, and called back in to talk to customer service. I'm sorry that I didn't get the young man's name that time....but he was very helpful as well, and suggested I call my current electric company.
The last time I called your Customer Service Department, I talked with Karen B....a wonderful and caring young woman, that really went out of her way, to make sure that I was happy with the whole sign-up process. She was very professional....as well as being very warm, friendly and understanding. She calmed my fraying nerves, and clarified everything for me. If you have any special awards for your representatives, she should definitely receive one. Genuine caring for people is a wonderful quality.

"Several years ago, I switched from Reliant to Startex and everything was wonderful. Your employees made the switch with no problems and they were very polite in answering all my questions.
When my contract with Startex expired I switched What a hassle!! They somehow lost my ESI number in their computer system, so I did not get a bill for a long while, and then when it arrived, it had extra charges on it that were only applicable to customers in an incorporated city. That contract has finally expired and I am now back with StarTex. I FEEL LIKE I AM THE PRODICAL SON. Of course, the switch back to StarTex was painless. Everything taken care of with one short phone call.

I've been with Star Tex Power for over 3 years now and I'm very satisfied with their service. I renewed my annual fixed rate contract with them at the kilowatt hour (kWh) rate of 10.5 cents.
Please take the time to check the (kWh) rate on your electric bill to see if this could be an opportunity for you to save too. I get nothing out of this but to know I was able to help someone else. My wish is that everyone in the world would reach out someway to do the same."

"Thank you for the reminder to renew at a low fixed rate. This is a list of the issues that caused me to change to Startex Power from my previous provider:
1. My previous provider did not remind me to renew. I prepare taxes for a living and during busy periods, I don't want to have to take time to think about electricity. The reminder you sent was very helpful.
2. When I did not renew with my previous provider for fixed rates, the variable rates went through the roof.
3. When I tried to renew at a fixed with rate with my previous provider, the rates were not competitive with the rates of other providers and with the rates they offered to new customers. I don't understand why it's not important to offer good rates to potential returning customers. It has to be more expensive to bring in new customers than to keep returning relationships.
4. I could not understand my bill from my previous provider. I can easily understand the great pie chart and graphs that you provide on my bill. I'm a tax accountant and pride myself on understanding complex calculations and rules and it astonishes me that I still can't understand my phone bill.

Here is my story: Upset over my last provider, I called StarTex because of a friend referral who seemed to be a happy customer. Starting there, I called and waited through the usual message announcing a customer service rep would be with me soon. From past experience I expected a long delay or possibly no response at all from a live person. I totally expected to have hang up and call again some other day. While I was waiting, I also sent an email to StarTex asking someone to call me ASAP. Suddenly I heard a voice over the phone thanking me for waiting, and almost at the same time, my cell phone rang with a second StarTex rep stating she had received my email. Can you imagine my unbelief that I actually had TWO StarTex representatives simultaneously trying to reach me? I thanked the second caller and continued talking to the first agent, who was very empathetic and really seemed to care what I thought. I told her all the reasons I was unhappy with my last provider and told her all the things I expected if I made a switch. she assured me StarTex could meet all my expectations. She even made a couple of special phone calls to verify everything. I hung up feeling very confident that everything would be handled with no more hassles and no more billing problems. Now here it the kicker, my new StarTex friend, called me the next day to make sure I didn’t have any other questions or concerns? StarTex was the first provider I called to make a switch, and I hope I never have to switch again. Oh, and by the way, I still haven’t heard a word from my former provider who promised on line they would get back with me within 24 hours."

We have not done business with Star Tex Power for the last two years. While making my online payments, I accidentally selected Star Tex and sent in a payment which should’ve gone to Direct Energy in the amount of $62.08. When I caught the error I was quick to call you. The Agent was courteous and quick to get the matter resolved. A refund will be sent to us in the next couple of weeks. I was so happy and impressed with the high level of professionalism and treatment that I received, that it prompted me to want to switch back. He offered me all your current plans and as it turns out, we could be saving money by switching back.

"This is an email to the Customer Care department to give you an outstanding compliment of the service agent that helped me today. I called the 1-866-917-8271 to speak with an agent about renewal of service and transfer of service to a new address.
I explained to her my dilema of either disconnecting and starting new service at my new address since I was at the end of my current agreement. She asked a few important questions and asked to review my records, current rate and penalty of charges, if any. She was very polite and asked me each time "did I mind holding" and waited for a reply (something often unusual when most agents assume and put you on hold) she took her time to answer my questions thoroughly and explained to me every option that I had available without making assumptions of what I wanted. She clarified my order at the end of my call and did a great job summarizing what took place in our call and what to expect.
I'm so pleased with the service at Startex and it was one of the reasons why when I made a decision to move to a new resident that it was not a second thought as to who I would select as my choice power company. You guys have been great in the two years I've had your service and never had any problems with any agent I've spoken with when I've had questions. I hope you will keep her as your agent. With excellent customer service, clarity and professionalism, I can see that she will go very far with your company."
