I have been in the process of switching my electric company (to StarTex Power) today, and I have spoken to three of your representatives. I just can't find the words, to express to you how helpful they were, and how impressed I am with them.
I started with Matt B....he was so helpful with all of my questions....I could tell that he really cares about people, and he made a very good first impression for your company. He is very knowledgeable as well. I then decided to sign-up online....to take advantage of your special offer. I ran into a problem online, and called back in to talk to customer service. I'm sorry that I didn't get the young man's name that time....but he was very helpful as well, and suggested I call my current electric company.
The last time I called your Customer Service Department, I talked with Karen B....a wonderful and caring young woman, that really went out of her way, to make sure that I was happy with the whole sign-up process. She was very professional....as well as being very warm, friendly and understanding. She calmed my fraying nerves, and clarified everything for me. If you have any special awards for your representatives, she should definitely receive one. Genuine caring for people is a wonderful quality.
It is so rare to find a company that has customer service people of this caliber, and you have three (that I know of). Because of this, (along with all of your other benefits), I feel that I have made the right decision to become a customer of StarTex Power. Congratulations on your GREAT people!!

"StarTex Management, I am a customer with StarTex power and recently had a situation with my electricity where it was switched to someone else's name by accident. That person had given my address as theirs and I was no longer with StarTex. I received a termination letter from StarTex and I immediately called to see what was going on. This switch was done without my knowledge. I originally spoke with a StarTex Power agent and he was VERY helpful and provided me with the steps that I needed to take to get this resolved. This happened on Friday and I was not able to talk with Centerpoint until Monday, but the StarTex Power agent gave me his extension and advised me to call him any time for additional assistance. I was able to talk to centerpoint on Monday and when I called the StarTex Power agent back to tell him what I had found out, I was informed by another agent that his wife had had a baby and was not available. The new StarTex Power agent stepped in and resolved the situation without a problem. He informed of what was going to happen and forwarded me the e-mails he sent to your service dept. to have me re-instated as a customer. I am back on track with StarTex and wanted to let you know that I was very pleased with the assistance from both of the StarTex Power agents Thank you,"

I had explained to him that I was a recent customer with Star Tex Power and I had a major problem in that I was still being double billed from my old company. I had attempted several times with my old company to get the problem corrected but had not been successful. He quickly took down some information and verified that I had in fact been switched over to Star Tex Power. He went one step further to call my old power company while I was still on the line to ensure that my transfer was complete and ensure that I would no longer be double billed from them. I know he probably spent more time than normal assisting me on my problem but he actually showed that he was committed to providing his customer with the best customer service possible. "Special Acknowledgment is noted for The StarTex Power agent and the Supervisor of StarTex Power for their expertise in correcting and servicing an issue that StarTex Power did NOT Cause. Following Due Diligence Procedure(s), The StarTex Power agent was able to isolate the cause of this situation. His immediate actions were to 'solve' the issue now, not later. With a later follow up phone call, he had no hesitation to involve the Supervisor. The weather was forecast to be in the mid-20. (The actual temperature reached 20 by 6AM). The Supervisor offered that if we had to find a hotel for the evening if the power was not restored, StarTex Power would reimburse the expenses. At approximately 8:45PM, the same day, power was restored. Appreciation is extended to both. Great Customer Service! Thank You!"

"To Whom It May Concern, I wanted to drop a line to give a much appreciated "THANK YOU" to the StarTex Power agent and the VP of Service at your customer center. I have had some health problems as of recent for the last few months. Times have been tough and my wife and I had been a little slow on paying bills. I received a call from Star Tex saying we were getting a disconnect and we needed to pay ASAP. I called back and explained my situation and I needed an extra 3 -4 days until my payroll check arrived in the mail. The StarTex Power agent stepped in to action and treated me like a friend or as my wife said, "Family member". He got with his manager and was able to help us through a hard time. His attitude was a real plus in this time of need for us. We had been customers of another electric provider for ever before we became customers of yours. The other electric provider never had this kind of customer service. I'm sure the StarTex Power agent his boss hear all kinds of stories every day, some true and some that are just plain lies. Whether the StarTex Power agent believed me or not, he went in to action to help me. We need more people like him in customer service. I think Star Tex has found a valuable employee. I suggest giving the agent who helped me his own class for training and giving him a chance at the management level. I have been around customer service for many many years and he truly is a diamond in a mountain full of fake gems. Take good care of him and I’m sure his value will be returned many times over. Everyone will now know who the best Power Company in Texas is! Thank you. Your service truly meant a lot to us."
