Feel free to share with your supervisor or management that besides the great rate, a big reason I decided to try you guys out was because of your prompt, courteous, friendly and PERSONAL service. It's so refreshing to actually receive an email with a personal email address/direct phone line and offer to help in the future vs. an anonymous customer service response. I've worked in a telecom service center and I know how expensive it is to personally address customer's issues but I believe that service plays a huge role on why people select a carrier. I have been in the process of switching my electric company (to StarTex Power) today, and I have spoken to three of your representatives. I just can't find the words, to express to you how helpful they were, and how impressed I am with them.
I started with Matt B....he was so helpful with all of my questions....I could tell that he really cares about people, and he made a very good first impression for your company. He is very knowledgeable as well. I then decided to sign-up online....to take advantage of your special offer. I ran into a problem online, and called back in to talk to customer service. I'm sorry that I didn't get the young man's name that time....but he was very helpful as well, and suggested I call my current electric company.
The last time I called your Customer Service Department, I talked with Karen B....a wonderful and caring young woman, that really went out of her way, to make sure that I was happy with the whole sign-up process. She was very professional....as well as being very warm, friendly and understanding. She calmed my fraying nerves, and clarified everything for me. If you have any special awards for your representatives, she should definitely receive one. Genuine caring for people is a wonderful quality.
It is so rare to find a company that has customer service people of this caliber, and you have three (that I know of). Because of this, (along with all of your other benefits), I feel that I have made the right decision to become a customer of StarTex Power. Congratulations on your GREAT people!!

Dear Management, I just wanted to pass along my feedback on dealing with one of your StarTex Power employees yesterday. Last night I called StarTex Power to make a payment on the phone. The StarTex Power agent answered on the first ring and she was very friendly. It is great to be able to get through to a real person. These are the direct contact people with your customers and I hope you treasure them. Thanks for over one year of your service. The other electric provider I used to be with have been trying to win me back but I just laugh at them when they lie to me on the phone.
Dear Customer Service Manager, I would like to take a minute to express my gratitude and appreciation for your commitment to customer service. Today I spoke with one of your Customer Service Representatives. I had explained to him that I was a recent customer with Star Tex Power and I had a major problem in that I was still being double billed from my old company. I had attempted several times with my old company to get the problem corrected but had not been successful. He quickly took down some information and verified that I had in fact been switched over to Star Tex Power. He went one step further to call my old power company while I was still on the line to ensure that my transfer was complete and ensure that I would no longer be double billed from them. I know he probably spent more time than normal assisting me on my problem but he actually showed that he was committed to providing his customer with the best customer service possible. To Whom It May Concern, I wanted to drop a line to give a much appreciated "THANK YOU" to the StarTex Power agent and the VP of Service at your customer center. I have had some health problems as of recent for the last few months. Times have been tough and my wife and I had been a little slow on paying bills. I received a call from StarTex Power saying we were getting a disconnect and we needed to pay ASAP. I called back and explained my situation and I needed an extra 3 -4 days until my payroll check arrived in the mail. The StarTex Power agent stepped in to action and treated me like a friend or as my wife said, "Family member". He got with his manager and was able to help us through a hard time. His attitude was a real plus in this time of need for us. We had been customers of another electric provider for ever before we became customers of yours. The other electric provider never had this kind of customer service. I'm sure the StarTex Power agent his boss hear all kinds of stories every day, some true and some that are just plain lies. Whether the StarTex Power agent believed me or not, he went in to action to help me. We need more people like him in customer service. I think StarTex Power has found a valuable employee. I suggest giving the agent who helped me his own class for training and giving him a chance at the management level. I have been around customer service for many many years and he truly is a diamond in a mountain full of fake gems. Take good care of him and I’m sure his value will be returned many times over. I would like you to know that my sales rep was probably the most courteous and professional sales rep that I can think of in my time. She was just as friendly after the sale as she was before the sale and stayed in touch with me nonstop until my needs were met, and followed up with me after words as well. I have to say that i am absolutely amazed at my power bills compared to what i paid when i was with 'REP X'. Dear StarTex Power: I work for a Homeowners Association Management company and we have about 5 different Power companies for many different Properties that we manage. StarTex Power never gives us a problem, the bills are accurate, received in enough time and on the rare occasion I have to contact Customer Service they are very efficient If it was up to me all our Properties would be with StarTex Power. Some of the other Power companies are nightmares!

I have never in my life received an email from any supplier of goods and services that has personally thanked me for the payment. Times are tough and eveyone likes a chance to save money so I'm passing this information on to you for a possible savings through your electric bill. I've been with StarTex Power for over 3 years now and I'm very satisfied with their service. I renewed my annual fixed rate contract with them at the kilowatt hour (kWh) rate of 10.5 cents. Please take the time to check the (kWh) rate on your electric bill to see if this could be an opportunity for you to save too. I get nothing out of this but to know I was able to help someone else. My wish is that everyone in the world would reach out someway to do the same.

Due to my last bill being explosively high, I decided to activate my right to do something. I went to Houston Consumer Choice site and saw the comparison. However, my final decision would be based on customer service and how I was treated. Your Customer Service Representative was absolutely wonderful and beyond outstanding, great at selling while not being pushy. She, along with the rate, is the reason I have switched my services. I am writing you regarding a customer service representative for your company. When I called to inquire about getting electricity through your company, I spoke with a Customer Service Representative. She not only provided me with answers to my questions and concerns, but did so in a timely manor, while making it easy for me to understand everything I would be undertaking by choosing your company to provide my electricity. She spoke clearly, and with confidence displaying a good knowledge of the company she represented as well as the services offered. Your company was possibly the 6th electric company I had called, and not the last. By no means was the deposit I had to pay the most inexpensive. But because of the representatives's excellent customer service, as well as the ease of use of your website, I had decided to enroll with your company. I can only hope that your company will provide the same excellent customer service with my electricity that She provided me over the phone with my inquiry.

I am a new customer of StarTex Power and I must say the customer service is exceptional. I received a call to remind me that my payment was due the following day, this has never happened to me!! Plus this is the lowest electricity bill I have ever received, rates are great!!!

I had spoken with her over several weeks because I continued to have problems getting the ESID numbers for the house I am moving into. I have been a StarTex Power customer for over a year and your Agent gave me her extension and kept my information in order to process my service request. She was very professional and understanding about my dealings with Oncor. Once I received the ESID number your Agent was able to process the request quickly and I was impressed with the service she provided. I just finished up a call where I was transferring service from my current apartment to a new house I just purchased. He was EXTREMELY thorough and patient, and he made sure any concerns I had were addressed before I was even able to ask them. Being as this is my first home purchase, I'm quite unfamiliar with how everything is done especially with having overlapping service dates, but your Agent took the time to explain the procedure. Out of all the people I've talked with getting everything in line for my closing date, he been the best by far. Thanks for the great service!

We were recently victims of a car break-in that resulted in our checkbook being stolen. This required us to close our checking account and to open a new one. This in turn created a complete mess for all of our scheduled automatic payments, including the monthly payment to StarTex Power. I have called several of the companies to whom we make automatic payments and the experience was terrible and only added to an already stressful day. My call to StarTex Power was the exception. She was polite, professional, caring and went “the extra mile” to help me resolve the immediate problem and to set up future automatic payments. I just became a subscriber TO-DAY ! Had heard a lot about the StarTex; their rates, their contact folks, the company in general, from a close friend who said she was ALWAYS appreciated and pleased. To that end, may I also jump on that bandwagon,... Spoke with a Customer Service rep, Monday, March 8th, and I thought she was dynamite; professional, warm, urgent to to my questions and needs, but not stuffy nor clinical. I HATE calling corporations and then getting stuck with an idiot that only coldly reads generic "answer cards" in front of them,... and won't converse. And presents in inflexible demeanor. Hey, life is a lot of black and white, certainly; but what about all that grey? I loathe getting that kind of reaction. You know what I mean,... the outfit "gives you the business,..." ...it doesn't do business with you... Not the case for the Agent i spoke with... she was really terrific,... and she is another reason I switched to StarTex. She gave me the juice!

Based on numerous prior experiences with Customer Service Representatives at other companies, I did not expect a call back from StarTex Power. I assumed I would have to follow up at some point in the future to make the rate change. However, within five minutes of sending the fax, I received a call back from one of your agents and within another few minutes, I had a new rate plan! I was very impressed with her competence and follow through and I wanted make sure management was aware of her efforts.

I joined StarTex Power on June 22 and received my first bill today. I am ABSOLUTELY FLOORED AT YOUR PRICES! I knew my rate with you would be less than my old company (the crooks), but was never expecting to save $178.00 over last month's bill! What a wonderful surprise. Because of your reasonable prices I will be able to feed my family this month, without having to run up a credit card. I am already looking forward to the cooler months when I don't have to run the heater or the air conditioning since that will mean I will be able to buy Christmas presents for my family this year without going into further debt or helping my sister who is out of a job right now. I am so sorry I didn't learn of your company sooner, as it would have been worth my while to break my contract and go with your company. I only found out about your company on accident when I had my boyfriend doing an internet search for electricity providers in my area.= I am hoping this is the beginning of a long and wonderful relationship with your company. Times are hard right now for everyone and I would have been truly thankful for just a $100 savings this month, but the $178 savings was a real blessing for me. In a day and age when all you get are complaints from people, I just wanted to be one customer to let you know how much I appreciate your company. I just renewed my service with you for 2 years. I LOVE YOU. You are the best provider I've ever had. I had a really horrific experience with Stream Energy and probably paid them thousands of dollars I did not have, and did not owe. It was horrible. I thought something was terribly wrong with my house! But, I had my HVAC system serviced, a new roof and installation installed, a new breaker box installed, a new meter installed, and still, even if I did not run central heat or air, my minimum bill was never less than $250 bucks. Ever. What a nightmare. I had to continuously pull money out of my meager savings to pay those guys. You guys are my angels. Being that I am currently unemployed, your fair and accurate billing is especially appreciated. Keep up the good work, your customer service is superior.
I must say that I was more than hesitant in making a switch from the "popular" company a year ago but I was tired of being treated like I was a number and not a person. From the moment I contacted StarTex, I was treated like I was the ONLY customer they have had. Over the past year, I have not only had more than reasonable electricity bills, I have received unbelievable service every time I have called with a question or concern! I will never use another electricity company and I highly recommend StarTex to every person I have the chance to! More companies should take their Customer Service departments to the StarTex level! I just wanted to express my thanks for the great customer service you provide. Everything from the initial set-up, the renewal process and actual notification before your current contract ends, to your billing and payment options, as well as your on-line account access are superior to any other company in this industry in Texas that I’ve worked with. After the horror that I went through with my last service provider, your company shows that the deregulation of the electric service in Texas is not all bad. I’ve got my mother to switch to you once her contract was up and I will definitely be a voice of support for your company whenever the topic comes up.
Just wanted to say a quick thank you for the great pricing on my electrical bill. Shared the monthly statements with my fellow colleagues and they are so surprised at the low electrical costs I am paying for a 2 level, 1000 sq. ft townhouse.
When we built our house we did not have options for power providers. I was stuck in an agreement at over 17c/kWh. Customer service had long wait times and was terrible when you finally got someone on the line. When the agreement finally expired I researched at powertochoose.com. In addition to the rates the thing that drew me to StarTex Power was the positive feedback from existing customers about your customer service.
I switched almost two years ago and haven't looked back! Your representatives are always friendly and helpful and I can't complain about wait times. Thanks again for maintaining very competitive rates and offering a consistently high level of customer service!
We switched to StarTex Power in 2009 because you were killing the competition's rates. We renewed once already and just renewed for another 3 years because your rates are still outstanding and I never hear from you and never have to interact with you, which is exactly the way it should be. Thanks for providing a great alternative to the other guys. BTW your 3 year rate is too low b/c we both know that nat'l gas will not stay this cheap for that long. Thanks,
I've been an apartment dweller, by choice, for many years. Now that I am buying a house and didn't know anything about the myriad of options to choose from...much less the several companies out there, the agent was so very patient with me as I asked her ever so many silly questions. Poor thing, during our call I even disconnected her by accident and was so very grateful that I was lucky enough to get her back on the phone for my risk assessment and additional dose of my questions.
I narrowed down my selection to two; another provider and StarTex Power. In the end it was her customer service skills that swayed me with her honesty, knowledge and patience to assist a customer in making the correct choice. The rest is up to StarTex Power.
Just wanted to let you know that after a year of service with StarTex Power, I have decided to renew my contract. I have not had to call customer service, but just the savings on my bill say enough! I am a current customer in Houston, but will be relocating to Dallas. I was debating on whether wanted stay with StarTex Power or switch to another provider. I decided to stay with StarTex Power for two reasons: (1) I've never had a problem with my service here in Houston, (2) When I called to check for a promo code, one was provided over the phone after hours! I recently had an issue with an erroneous charge that CenterPoint was passing thru to me via StarTex Power billing. I contacted StarTex Power customer service and spoke to an agent who was not only very courteous but made helpful suggestions. She not only contacted CenterPoint several times but was so thoughtful as to contact me in the process to let me know that she still had not gotten a response. The situation was satisfactorily resolved due in large part in my opinion to the details that the agent presented it to CenterPoint.
Please pass on that you guy’s rock, period. I’ve been with several TDSP providers from Houston to Austin and as long as you stay in business, I will be a loyal customer.
It’s the people quite like yourself, yep you. StarTex Power employs the right people to give the customer “warm and fuzzy” feelings that you really want my business. I have been called and emailed by someone from your staff before disconnection. That is PHENOMINAL and commendable to the highest.
No one likes to have their power cut off and the fact that you try to ensure it doesn’t happen to your customers is pinnacle to a great relationship.

I am not sure if there is anyway you can figure out who my Customer Service rep was today. I just called about 15-20 minutes ago and wanted to make sure this email made it to Management. I misread my bill and called to complain about it. Once I called the lady I was dealing with was EXTREMELY professional. I was actually dividing my kwh and my charge I received backwards and thought I was being over charged. I have had a long day and was a little rude and she was very nice to me the entire time. Once I realized what I was doing wrong I apologized and she never once had a rude tone with me. She explained my bill properly to me. I just want to let you know how well she handled herself and how much I appreciated it.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for beign such a great company!! We were with ‘REP A’ for a long time and they were awful. We felt likey they were talking advantage of us. We would try to call their customer service and it was like trying to unlock a secret code to get them to understand or help us. We completely appreciate what you do and what you stand for. I just wanted to say that I am extremely satisfied with your company, your employees and your service overall! I recently sold my house and purchased a new one. When the buyer placed her order to switch service before I had a chance to terminate the old house and sign up for new service, my account was flagged since I would be charged the early termination fee. A customer service representative contacted me, told me what new home documentation to fax to StarTex Power, and accounting stayed on top of it and reversed the charge before it would show up on my bill. My mom even uses StarTex Power and I tell all my friends about your service, low rates and no fees. Keep up the good work and congratulations on the success of your company and your employees!! Good Day, I wanted to let you know how satisfied I have been with my choice of StarTex Power as my electricity provider. I spoke with one of your service agents today and would also like to tell you what wonderful service he gave me.He provided me with detailed and clearly understandable information on rate plans and options for my account. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and was very and was very polite and well mannered in doing so. It was refreshing to be able to talk to a csr who spoke English understandably and presented such a positive attitude. So often, these things are not provided by other companies and I just wanted to give kudo's where kudo's are warranted. Today, after receiving a very helpful (and clear) contract expiration notice in the mail, I researched local electricity rates online and found that StarTexPower has the best rate plan for my family’s electricity needs - we like the security of 12-month fixed rate plans. So, I used your website to sign up for another year of service. Your website was very user-friendly and the process of choosing our new plan and continuing my service was a simple as can be. StarTex Power, thank you so much for handling my account changes. I have just made the switch from another provider, and immediately the customer service experience I have received has been amazing. Here is my story: Upset over my last provider, I called StarTex Power because of a friend referral who seemed to be a happy customer. Starting there, I called and waited through the usual message announcing a customer service rep would be with me soon. From past experience I expected a long delay or possibly no response at all from a live person. I totally expected to have hang up and call again some other day. While I was waiting, I also sent an email to StarTex Power asking someone to call me ASAP. Suddenly I heard a voice over the phone thanking me for waiting, and almost at the same time, my cell phone rang with a second StarTex Power rep stating she had received my email. Can you imagine my unbelief that I actually had TWO StarTex Power representatives simultaneously trying to reach me? I thanked the second caller and continued talking to the first agent, who was very empathetic and really seemed to care what I thought. I told her all the reasons I was unhappy with my last provider and told her all the things I expected if I made a switch. she assured me StarTex Power could meet all my expectations. She even made a couple of special phone calls to verify everything. I hung up feeling very confident that everything would be handled with no more hassles and no more billing problems. Now here it the kicker, my new StarTex Power friend, called me the next day to make sure I didn’t have any other questions or concerns? StarTex was the first provider I called to make a switch, and I hope I never have to switch again. Oh, and by the way, I still haven’t heard a word from my former provider who promised on line they would get back with me within 24 hours.
